Intrapreneurship in Portugal

Intrapreneurship in Portugal

PEEP carried out the first study into intrapreneurship in Portugal, coordinated by Dr. Dana T. Redford. The study was promoted by the American Chamber of Commerce and supported by the Luso-American Foundation. The term ‘intrapreneurship’ refers to corporate entrepreneurship, an innovative approach to problem solving in a company. It can also be a way for companies to develop innovative skills among their employees.

The study involved 12 organizations active in Portugal, representing different sectors: Banking, Government, Insurance, Information Technology, Pharmaceutics, Non-Profits, and Social Services. The respective organizations were selected based on their answers to an online survey, which ensured the level of ‘Intrapreneurship’ each company featured.
