ADEPTT

The Acknowledging and Developing Entrepreneurship Practices in Teacher Training (ADEPTT) project sought to develop in the 8 participating countries, a training model for teachers of basic and secondary schooling levels. The project was based on the idea that in order to drive the change necessary to develop entrepreneurship in schools, it is crucial that the training involves educational institutions as a whole, particularly in the professional training of the teachers.

Some 13 educational institutions participated in the European consortium, from Germany, Belgium, Spain, the Netherlands, Iceland, Norway, Portugal and the United Kingdom. In Portugal the training model was implemented in a secondary school in Amadora, through a partnership with the Aga Khan Foundation as part of the K’CIDADE Programme. The project began in October 2011 and ran through September 2013. PEEP’s participation in the ADEPTT project was supported by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and by COTEC Portugal.
